Responsibilities:
-Executes quality photography (digital and conventional) providing high quality photography as well as setting up lighting, composition, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot.
-Ensure proper lighting/focus is appropriate for subject, with or without specific art direction.
- Analyze and select final version.
- Adhere to layout for composition, adjusting for art direction input.
- Review shot guide, prior to shooting, to ensure accuracy.
- Unpack, setup and repack merchandise as needed.
-Maintain that all products and components are de-propped and returned to the proper box.
- Provide photographic tests, oversee background testing as needed.
-Ensuring that all equipment required for location shoot has been returned and is in good working order after the shoot.
-Organizes props, flooring and furniture.
- Monitor Assistant Photographers on maintenance of photographic equipment.
- Monitor Assistant Photographers to maintain a clean working environment.
- Evaluate prospective new hires or freelancers.
-Evaluate prospective new hires or freelancers.
- Configure sets or direct assistant for set configuration, some construction may be required.
-Communicating equipment needs/failure to the Studio Director and Assistant Photographer.
-Ensure related deadlines are met.
-Coordinate with appropriate staff, as necessary.
-Attend required meetings.
-Assume a leadership role, working with management to create team dynamics within the studio.

Required Skills:
BA/BFA in photography or equivalent
-Five + years studio photography, preferably in retail catalog advertising
